Great stuff! I want to pull my hat for his courage to be able to get out there, stutter so openly and to joke about his greatest weakness, and consequently turning it into his greatest strength...
I watched all of his videos, some nice ideas in his jokes, though I have to admit I didn't properly understand some of them (I don't know if it's my english which is getting rusty, the poor sound quality of the videos or his southern accent, or all of them combined). I'm definitely waiting to see more of his performances, and I hope he becomes reaaally successful with what he's doing and with that raises some public awareness for stuttering...

Jody is scheduled to perform at the next National Stuttering Association (US) convention in July. Those who will be attending will have the opportunity to see him in person.

Also on the subject of Stuttering comedians, check out Jaik Campbell a British guy who stutters and has done several shows in London and Edinburgh and at British Stammering Association onferences. He has a website www.jaikcampbell.com though I don't know if he has any spots on you-tube yet.

Looks very promising... Too bad there is no video material online from him... Anybody knows if any DVDs or something else is available, I would love to see that guy perform... Some English stuttering humour... must be fantastic...

Oops, here is the DVD:

I hope this isn't insulting in any way, but when someone has a great sense of humor about his stuttering it's very cute.

You can order Jody Fuller's self-titled DVD through his website:

http://www.jodyfuller.com/

As einar mentioned, he also has a MySpace profile. If you do not feel comfortable ordering the DVD online though PayPal, you can send a check to his "snail mail" address, which can be obtained by sending him a message through MySpace or jody@jodyfuller.com .

I hope that helps. :-)

I haven't watched the video yet (at work), but I would think comedy would be hard for a stutterer because it's so reliant on timing. I often don't tell jokes because I block on the punchline.

Hm, I don't know. I don't think it's that funny. And people laugh at least as much about his jokes as about his stuttering ... If he's really stuttering and not just faking it (I don't know the guy so I can't judge it). But it seems like he only 'stutters' when the joke needs it ...

Besides, hearing other people stutter always makes me cringe a bit inside.

Jerome. I can certainly appreciate your honesty, I really do, but I gotta tell ya. I really do stutter. Yes-sir-ree-bob. 34 years now. No doubt about it. Not sure if you do, as I have not looked at your profile, but if you do, you must know that stuttering can or cannot occur at any time, so of course I "fake stutter" on some of my jokes. The jokes simply would not work without it. Have a great, wonderful, outstanding day.
PS...Einar and Amanda...your DVD's will be shipped bright and early Monday morning. Thanks for the support.
